3 Minute Beauty Regimen

When it comes to having an evening beauty regimen, I was the worst at keeping a consistent routine!  After a long, busy day, all I would want to do is get into my bed and close my eyes! Sometimes it's exhausting thinking about all the different face washes, scrubs, anti-aging cream, antioxidant cream, dark spot remover cream, eye cream, etc.. that I'm supposed to use; the thought alone often caused me to just fall asleep, and commit one of the ultimate beauty sins...going to bed without washing my face!

Because it is important to take care of our skin, we definitely need to remain consistent in our beauty regimen...but on those I-don't-feel-like-it days, which is just about every day for me, I motivate myself by saying it's only going to take 3 minutes!
Here's my 3 minute beauty regimen that I do most evenings ;)

Step One = 1 Minute
First I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 which is a spinning brush that pulses when it's time to move to a different area of your skin... it's like one of those sonic toothbrushes but for your face.  I absolutely love this thing because it leaves me with a very clean and scrubbed face in exactly one minute!

Step Two = 1 Minute
After quickly drying my face, I apply an awesome face cream called 'Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial'

Step Three = 1 Minute
Lastly I apply an eye cream right under my bottom eye lid.
Then I put everything away and wipe down my vanity counter :).

That's all!

I'd love for you to share some of your quick and simple beauty regimens by commenting on this post!

Style Of The Week

I found Jamie of Chandler, AZ out shopping and enjoying the beautiful weather in her very chic spring fashion.  She layered a light tan jacket on top of a very hot coral colored top, white rolled up pants, matched perfectly with her tan oxford shoes.  She completed the look by accessorizing with a chunky stone necklace and a stylish cross body bag.
SO CUTE..I love the look!!

Beauty Treatment

For centuries on end women have always been on this perpetual lifelong quest to find the latest and best-kept beauty secrets and remedies to maintain their youthful look and glow; as a result billions of dollars are spent annually around the world in search for beauty.  Well ladies, look no further…I have found THE key to the very best kept beauty secret and regimen!  I’m talking about THE cure-all beauty treatment!

“…Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.” Ps. 96:6

The KEY to real true beauty ladies - is in the sanctuary of God.  Real authentic beauty comes from spending daily, regular and consistent time in the presence of God; speaking to Him, hearing from Him and receiving direction from Him, allowing Him to transform you and fill you up with an abundance of His love, mercy and grace.  When we are overflowing with His love, mercy and grace it has nowhere else to go but to pour out into the lives of those around us.  Making us more loving, kind and merciful towards others.  This is beauty from the inside out.

Why Are Probiotics SO Important?

Probiotics have been one of THE most important part of my diet for the last year or so, as it has significantly improved my digestive health as well as my overall health!  How many of you would love to have a flatter belly? ...well, probiotics helps! What about not getting sick with colds and flus even though all those around you are? ...probiotics helps with this too!  Maybe you'd like to have clearer skin or deal with bowel irregularities, or even want to just feel better in general...honestly, probiotics takes care of all these issues!  It's amazing how much sicknesses, diseases and issues begins in the gut!  In Joy Life's contributing Health writer and my nutrition consultant, Loretta Hill, gives us the scoop on Probiotics and why it is so important to our health.

Victorious Life!

Below is a short devotional on seeking God first and relying on Him daily and the victories we can have in our lives, just from doing so.  I hope you can take the time to quickly read through this and allow God to speak to your heart.  Please also feel free to share your thoughts...you never know who might be encouraging with your words/testimony!

2 Chronicles 16:7-13

There was an old testament king by the name of Asa, king of Judah.  Asa started out his reign trusting God and devoted to God.  He relied on God, and was always seeking Him.  Because of this, God showed himself strong and delivered a "huge army with many chariots and horsemen into his hand." Also, God gave king Asa and the people of Judah favor by giving them rest and peace with no wars; he also made them very prosperous.
But at some point king Asa stopped trusting God and relying on Him and instead started relying on man.  Instead of seeking God for help and deliverance as he once did in the past, he sought man's help and deliverance. The verses state that he relied on the king of Syria to deliver them from another army instead of seeking God and relying on Him.
A messenger then came and told him that he had done foolishly by not relying on God and that the consequence would be that he would now have wars.  Yet, instead of repenting, and turning to rely on God, he got angry and took out his anger on others.  When he became deathly ill with disease, he still chose not seek the Lord but the physicians (who were likely sorcerers and those who used magic and curses), who were never able to help him.  Then he died.

Have you stopped trusting and relying on God? Who/what do you tend to seek out first in times of difficulty and even in good things?  Who do you call first?
Ladies, the point I want to make with this story is that, God wants us to seek Him with all our heart and soul and to rely on Him whole-heartedly.  Victories are won in our lives ALWAYS, if we just choose to rely on Him solely!  He always has an answer and solution!  Too often times, we think we need people to make things happen, and then we start relying on them.  However, people can't do what God can do...God does BIG things and makes things happen, and He doesn't disappoint! I'm not saying we can't rely on others for anything, of course God places people in our lives that we can rely on and that can help us.  However, we always, in everything, must first seek God. Our first trust and reliance must be in Him and not others.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33.

Vision For Your Life

I know that it is highly cliche to talk about setting goals in the beginning of a new year; and most of the time, by the time February comes along, we've already forgotten about all our New Year's goals and ambitions that we swore we would keep this time around.  The reality is that if we do not have a vision for ourselves, our children, our lives and where we want to be...we will surely fail in all the goals we have decided to set.  It is a good thing to "set goals" and to be ambitious towards change and progress, however, we first need to get the vision of what it looks like to achieve these goals or changes.  There should be a thought process and a set time of intentional reflection to think, visualize and even dream about what these changes look like and what sacrifices will need to be made.

Pray and ask God to give you a vision for your life.  "Where there is no vision, the people perish" Proverbs 29:18 NKJ
